Hi, I’m Kate!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself! My name is Kate and I am the girl behind the blog. I grew up in the most darling neighborhood in Kansas City - Brookside (I may be a little biased here...) - before moving to Fayetteville, Arkansas for college. Without a car, I found myself recruiting friends to visit Kansas City for the first time and take me along as a tour guide. This self-serving activity encouraged me to explore my hometown with a fresh set of eyes and I have been making a conscious effort to do so ever since. 

Shortly after graduation, I moved back to KC and continued exploring. This blog is a place for me to document my interactions with local hustlers, business owners, and creatives. The posts aren't filled with facts and figures; they are filled with feelings + random conversations + glimpses into the inspiration behind the hustle. Everyone here has a story and I hope to share as many of these stories as I can.
